INKOMPASS Internship program is a global program of Philip Morris International, with the aim of providing young talents with the real-life working experience exposure. In addition to that, the interns also have the chance to bring about real changes through innovative thinking and learnings to overcome business challenges.
In Vietnam, Vinataba-Philip Morris (Ho Chi Minh Branch) has organized 3 cycles of INKOMPASS (2016 - 2017 - 2018). Through the programs, intern get the chance to work on real-life projects and recommend solutions based on their own research and understanding.
I was one of two chosen Vietnamese interns for INKOMPASS programs batch 2018. My project's main focus is on Talent Acquisition and the innovative solutions on the current system. The project was under the People and Culture Department with the aid of a variety of employees.
The performance of the internship was praised by my mentors and I have received an offer to come back for the 2nd Cycle of the programs in Summer 2019.

Applied basic knowledge of coding, system engineering and supply chain management, freshmen of Industrial System Engineering of International University had completed their assigned projects relating to different aspects of the industry.
My project related to the process of "Sorting System", using automatic mechanism to replicate the industry method when innovate and optimize a system. With a team of 10 members and the aid of our advisor - Mr. Dao Vu Truong Son (PhD), we have developed the "Cashew Sorting Mechanism", using captured photos and censor to sort out unqualified cashew nut. This method has been applied in Quality Management of real companies.
